I am always amazed by Malia's interests and insights into life as she knows it. And I knew she loved dirt, but I found this day was just too cute for words!

It started as I was pulling weeds in the girls "garden". As usual Malia asked me to find her some worms and this day we hit the jackpot! There were worms in every weed I pulled up. Malia started out holding them with Gabi watching from the side in disbelief. She was exibiting the same disgust as I was, but I tried to look past it, and she wanted to be involved so we both just kind of watched Malia and enjoyed her enthusiasm.

The more worms I pulled, the happier she was and kept commenting on how wiggly they were and how cute they were. She encouraged them not to crawl off her hand and fall off. She started in on telling stories about which worm was the mom. the dad, the baby, the brother, and the sister. When attempted to take her picture with her beloved worms she said "not me, just the worms mom" I had no idea how deeply her love for dirt and worms ran! I actually had to convince her that she shouldn't bring the worms inside because they would miss the rest of their family! Oh Malia, you make me smile!

Now that the weather has been really nice, the family has been able to get out and enjoy disk golf! Here is Gabi hiking along side us at Corbin Park. We are looking forward to many more days together enjoying a great game and good times. Now that Lisa has her own disks, watch out!

Durring Dom's bath time he decided that his bath seat was just too confining (as usual) So baby houdini got out and was discovering the water. He put his face under the water and then lifted his face up looking shocked, but then he giggled and then did it again! No fear here! He just kept doing it and he thought it was sooo funny. Looks like we have another water lover in the family!

Yay for Sunshine!

We are sooooo happy to be outside loving the sunshine!

Easter!

Helping Grandma Kenner bake is always a highlight for the girls. Here they are making Green Jello Salad for Easter Dinner at Isaac's house.

Boys and thier love of cars :)

Goofy Girls :)

Egg Hunt

For a reason unknown, this is Malia's new pose for pictures...everytime...

Oh, I put the eggs in the basket?

Hunting Easter Eggs is always a fun adventure at Cousin Isaac's house! Gabi and Malia really got into finding the eggs. Dominic was having a great time banging the plastic eggs together and I had fun playing tag with Isaac.

Strawberry Jam mmm!

Picking strawberries in Green Bluff 2008! I think the girls ate just about as many as we came home with! They were so sweet! The perfect activity for little hands!

Strawberry Jam II mmm!

Making strawberry freezer jam was one of the highlights from Grandma Merritt's last visit, so of course Malia had to make plans with grandma over the phone when we saw strawberries in the store. The girls had a great time. Gabi made sure the strawberries were "clean" by sucking on the ends of the berries. Malia tried her hand at filling the tubs. I was impressed by how few spills she had!
Yay for fun Grandma Merritt!

Whee!

One of the best things about being outside is you can YELL AS LOUD AS YOU WANT. Sorry neighbors! We have cabin fever!

A Little Dinner Conversation

Dominic 10 months

Dominic's new favorite hangout is under the table. I think he likes it so much because he can use the chairs to stand on and the girls love to join in the fun and it becomes a "tent."

ABC's

Gabi's favorite game on the computer is the "ABC's" Both the girls love to sing at the top of their lungs. Dominic even got in on the fun and added his own rendition!
Just a little taste of the backyard adventures of the dinamic duo.

Here Dominic is 9 months old and already pulling himself up and talking! He says "mama" and "yeah" and maybe even a "hi" every now and then!

April Fools!

Malia: "Do you want a wormy apple?"
What we practiced was "Do you want a juicy apple?" but Malia has her own way of doing things and it she thought it was so funny, she almost fell over when she showing her apple!

"Junk of Mud"

What great fun! A sink hole in the backyard! Malia (the instigator) has always had a love for all things messy. She loves the mud, sand, and dirt. Check out the smile on her face! Gabi (who is always up for a good time) decided to bring her athleticism to the picture, and the best backyard game was made! MUD PUDDLE JUMPING!!!

Christmas 2009 was a great day filled with fun and family as we gathered together at Eric's parents house. Malia and Gabi had a great time opening and playing with thier presents. Dominic soaked it all in and even got into the action towards the end:)
